Description
Louna is one of the most vibrant and sought-after rock bands on the contemporary Russian scene. The band formed in Moscow in 2008, when vocalist Lusine "Lu" Gevorkyan and bassist Vitaly "Vit" Demidenko, who had previously played with Tracktor Bowling, decided to form their own project. They were joined by guitarists Sergey Ponkratyev and Ruben Kazaryan, and drummer Leonid "Pilot" Kinzbursky. Louna's style is energetic alternative rock and punk rock with socially conscious lyrics and the lead singer's distinctive vocals.
Louna's discography includes nine full-length albums, including two English-language releases. Their debut album, "Make It Louder!", was released in 2010 and immediately brought the band nationwide fame—the title track topped the "Chart Dozen" chart on Nashe Radio. The band's repertoire includes over a dozen music videos and several live albums, including a recording of a live performance with a symphony orchestra.
In January 2026, Louna released the single "In This Silence," their first electric track since the album "Rubicon." The release marked the end of their creative hiatus and the start of work on a new album. In support of the single, the band embarked on an extensive tour: Louna will perform in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Cyprus, and Israel.
